The Workhorse Platform Pack can be worn as a standalone pack with the included minimalist pack straps, or used as an attachment for your separate, more fully featured pack. Grit like to use theirs as a standalone pack during the early season with the inclusion of the MOLLE system on the outside of the pack. When it gets colder, Grit recommends attaching the Platform Pack to a separate pack and using it as a dedicated platform accessory.
