All things pass: God never changes. Patience attains all that it strives for. He who has God finds he lacks nothing. God alone suffices.Saint Teresa was a 16th century Spanish Carmelite. She was a writer, a mystic, and a reformer of the Carmelite order. In her writings, especially the Way of Perfection and The Interior Castle, she emphasized the importance of contemplative prayer. She spent much of her time and energy working to lead the Carmelites back to the full observance of the primitive Rule. She founded many new monasteries. In 1970 she was named a Doctor of the Church.
