Blessed Beeswax Candle

To the three elements of a lit (altar) candle, writers attached a symbolism related to Jesus Christ: the beeswax material symbolizing his body, the wick his soul, and the flame his divinity. St. John Chrysostom wrote: "The bee is more honored than other animals, not because it labors, but because it labors for others” (12th Homily).   Made of denser, longer-burning 100% beeswax, this unique candle follows tougher purity standards for the best performance.  Featuring a plain end, it measures 7/8" in diameter and 8" in length.   The candle cost $8.50; the blessing is free.
