Saint Peter was the first man chosen to lead Christ’s Church, the very first Pope in history. Once a simple fisherman, Peter left behind everything to follow Jesus, witnessing miracles, the Passion, and the Resurrection with his own eyes. Even after failing and denying Christ, Peter was restored by Jesus and entrusted with the mission to strengthen the Church on earth. With that God-given faith, he preached the Gospel fearlessly through persecution, helping spread the Gospel across the world.
