Asparagus ferns are in the asparagus genus! While they are closely related, the Asparagus setaceus is not safe to eat. They are easy to care for and add interesting visual texture to any room or outdoor space! They are typically grown indoors year round in areas with colder winters. When their flowers are pollinated, they will produce red berries. To keep indoors, place your plant where it will receive bright indirect light and water when the soil is around 50% dry. Asparagus ferns are not pet safe. This variety of asparagus fern can develop thorns or have spiky needles, making them unsafe for reptile enclosures.  Plants will be shipped bare root and are suitable for 4 inch pots.
