An ideal cut flower, the zinnia is an easy-to-grow annual that should be in everyone’s garden. This variety produces vibrant, edible, long-stemmed flowers that are 2-1/2" across in a blend of pink, bright scarlet,  yellow, salmon, white and more. This packet plants 50 sq. ft area.  Zinnia seeds can be started inside or directly sown into garden soil. Zinnia may be grown from seed sown early indoors and transplanted outside after frost, or sown directly in the garden after frost. Sow indoors 5-7 weeks before outdoor planting date in spring. Sow seeds ¼  inch deep in seedling mix. Keep the soil moist at 70-75 degrees FSeedlings emerge in 7-10 days. Place under bright light during the day.Transition outside (harden) for 7 days before outdoor transplant. Space 18" apart. Direct sow seeds outdoors in average soil in full sun after all danger of frost.Scatter seeds evenly about 10-12" apart and cover with ¼ inch of fine soil.
