He farms organically, using many biodynamic practices, and the vines are surrounded by woods, mountain streams and meadows. That special setting, and upbringing-if you will, translates into magical wines. Here, the Gamay has a dark, clearly alpine quality with crunchy bitter herbs, a hint of charred tannin and savory dark, brambly berry.
