Morgan Dollars 1891-1921 - Dansco Coin Albums
Dansco Coin Albums have been a longtime companion for both expert numismatists and beginning coin collectors. The Morgan Dollars 1891-1921 Dansco Album comes in a 5/8" binder and holds up to 48 coins. The album has 4 Dansco pages (series: 7179-1 to 7179-4), each one holding and displaying all Morgan dollars minted from 1891-1921. Englishman George T. Morgan, whose initial "M" appears on the obverse, was in charge of the design for these coins. The 1893-S dollar has the lowest mintage of all Morgan dollars. As a result, this coin is one of the most valuable of the series. In fact, only the 1895 Morgan dollar surpasses the 1893-S type in value. The 1895 dollar is known as the "King of the Morgan Dollars". Morgan dollars minted from 1891-1921 measure 38.1 mm. They are made of 90% silver and 10% copper, and each weighs 26.73 grams. Morgan dollars were coined at the Philadelphia, New Orleans, Carson City and San Francisco Mints. Dansco Coin Albums have their pages attached with metal screws
