Not-So-Wee-Heavy Scottish Ale

Not-So-Wee-Heavy 5-gallon homebrew beer kit. All of the flavor of our Wee Wicked Heavy in a more sessionable format. The biggest difference? We went for a very old style of beer, Heather Ale. Dating back a couple thousand years, Heather Ale is one of the oldest known styles of beer. Our presentation is a medium-light bodied amber ale, with floral notes and just the right amount of peat smokiness. Color: 12 SRM (Amber to Copper). IBU: 0.0! ABV: 4.3%. Extract kits include liquid and/or dry malt extract, plus crushed specialty grains with a grain sock to steep. Partial mash kits include malt extract, plus a larger amount of crushed base malt and specialty grains with a grain sock, and require extra steeping time. All-grain kits include crushed base malt and specialty grains, and require advanced technique and equipment. All kits also include: • Heather Tips (in addition to the hops)• Dry or liquid yeast• Bottle caps and priming sugar • Whirlfloc tablet or Irish moss • Spices and/or other
