Single-Origin (2023 Harvest) These hand-picked cloves come from a single farm from the central region of Matale, Sri Lanka. Cloves are the flower buds of the clove tree; when ready for harvest, the farmer hand-picks right before they flower and sun-dries the whole cloves which give it its dark color. Cloves have many health benefits, one of them being they’re very high in antioxidants. This aromatic spice has sweet, bitter, and astringent tasting notes and are typically used in sweet and savory dishes, homemade chai tea, and can be ground for garam marsala, pumpkin spice, and cookies!  Our hand-picked cloves are organically grown and are sourced from individuals who work directly with the farmers that grow and process these aromatic cloves.  Ingredients: Clove | Syzygium aromaticum
