Holiday Jicara Ornaments

Our traditional hand-engraved Jicara ornaments are made on the coast of Oaxaca by communities who have been crafting these beauties for generations. Lots of time and love goes into each piece: from harvesting the gourds, taking out the flesh, drying, sanding, painting, then intricately hand-engraving each tool using a variety of homemade tools.  Each sphere tells a story of the flora and fauna in the region: birds, bunnies, sea turtles, deer, antelope, armadillos, bumble bees + more. This year most of our white spheres have bees on them. Kindly note, we cannot guarantee any specific design as each one is unique and one-of-a-kind.
