Whale Meditation

John happened upon this Humpback Whale at Molokini Crater. It floated silently, perpendicular to the surface as if it were meditating. This was our very first whale encounter! We were actually leading two groups of divers at a normal dive site and luckily came across this huge whale just resting vertically like this. We have now been swimming with whales for over 10 years and have never seen this behavior again.
