Oddly enough, a ponytail palm tree is neither a palm nor a tree. In fact, it is a member of the Agave family and is actually a succulent! Native to dry regions of Guatemala, the ponytail palm is a succulent plant that resembles a palm tree (but isn't actually a true palm). Easy to care for; thrives on benign neglect. Safe for pets!
