MONKEY BLOCKPRINT CHILD QUILT

This beautiful hand crafted children's cotton quilt features an adorable hand block printed monkey pattern in yellow that adds a playful touch to cuddle time. A traditional art form in India, block printing involves hand stamping lengths of fabric with color using hand-carved wood blocks. Different blocks are used to produce the different colors for each design. The reverse side of the quilt is a solid white cotton. The artisans use a traditional Kantha stitch to hand sew the front and back pieces of the quilt together.
