Alpaca is renowned as a sustainable and eco-friendly fiber. The alpacas are shorn once a year in the spring and the fiber is spun into yarn. The alpaca fiber is extremely soft, light-weight and, with it's naturally insulating core, is amazingly warm. It does not contain lanolin, making it hypoallergenic. All in all, the perfect combination for cold weather accessories. - Handwoven in Ecuador - 60% alpaca / 40% acrylic - Dryclean or handwash cold on delicate cycle followed by low heat dryer to fluff fibers back up.
