IFU Description: This antibody recognizes the alpha-smooth muscle isoform of actin present in smooth muscles targeting an epitope within the first four amino acids of the N-terminal. This antibody is highly specific for actin from smooth muscle and does not show cross-reaction with fibroblasts, striated muscle, or myocardium. This monoclonal antibody is useful for identifying tumors arising from smooth muscle and myoepithelial cells and can be used together with anti-muscle-specific actin and myogenin to differentiate smooth muscle from skeletal muscle tumors. Catalog: VMAb005 Clone: CHMP013 Species Reactivity: Cat, Dog, and Human Source: Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Isotype: IgG Antigen: N-terminal of alpha-smooth muscle isoform of actin Cellular Location: Cytoplasmic Positive Control: Smooth muscle, leiomyosarcoma, and blood vessels in all tissues   References: Gown, A.M., Vogel, A.M., Gordon, D., and Lu, P.L.
