'CORAL SUNSET' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'coral sunset')

'Coral Sunset' is amongst the earliest peonies to bloom in spring. It's large semi-double blossoms open to a saturated salmon color before maturing to warm salmon-ivory hues. Lightly scented, this early-spring garden herald is a wonderful choice for cutting as it's 32" stems tend to arch to the ground when fully unfurled. Support may be necessary in the garden if the plant is stand-alone. A MUST for the cutting garden. (Wissing, 1965). Heirloom.
