'DOREEN' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'doreen')

A Japanese anemone-style peony, blooming in the mid to late-season. The medium-pink guard petals surround a generous tuft of yellow staminoids making a lovely combination for cutting or perennial garden display. As the plant matures year-to-year, the flowers become more full with variations of single-row, double-row, to nearly full-double blossoms! A fragrant, large-flowered peony growing to 40" without needing to be staked. (Sass, 1949). Heirloom. Zones 3-7 3/5-eyes Bare roots are available in the late-fall and winter.
