One of the tallest of the species peonies. This multi-flowering peony is native to the Himalayas hence one of its common names of Himalayan Peony in Engligh and 多花芍药 (duo hua shao yao) or Multi-flower peony in Chinese. P. emodi has large, single, white flowers and large deeply-incised leaves with stems up to 5' tall! This hard-to-find species peony is very cold hardly but performs surprisingly well in warmer climates, too. (Royle, 1834). Heirloom. Zones 3-9 Bare roots available in late-fall and winter only. We do not ship potted peonies.
