Symphyotrichum chilense (California Aster)

California aster, also known as Pacific Aster, is a native flower in California. Previously known as Aster chilensis. Its stems are upright, and it produces a beautiful array of open violet/pink/white pale flowers with bright yellow round centers. Bloom time can extend from June to October making it a great addition to pollinator gardens. It thrives in drier environments and is well-loved by butterflies.
