Xinjing(心经) Carved Zisha Teapot
The teapot is made by potter Li base in Yixing, one of important Zisha (purple) teapots center in China. Unlike a trend of appearance development in Jindezhen, Yixing Zisha teapot draws attention to the quality more than innovation of design. Li is skilful in using the original mine clay to form the teapot with inspiration of antique, which indicates classic significantly. The Zisha teapot is made from Zhuni (red clay), which turns crimson after high temperature. And it is distinguished by the Xinjing (Sutra) hand-engraved throughout the pot providing textural surface.
