Valley Milkhouse Cheese is owned and operated by Stefanie Angstadt out of a beautiful old milkhouse of a retired dairy barn in Oley, PA. Stefanie spent years studying the craft of cheesemaking at Avalanche Cheese Company in Colorado before returning to the Oley Valley where she deepened her knowledge further by shadowing regional cheesemakers and taking a cheese commercial course at Penn State. By May 2014, Valley Milkhouse Cheese was in production. Over the past 10+ years, Stefanie and her cheesemaker Brie Best(the perfect name for a cheesemaker, in our opinion) have developed 8+ artisan cheeses of a full spectrum of styles. Chickweed is their all-out classic raw milk “table cheese,” a cheese for everyone made in the Jack-style.
