Traditional Mexican Wedding Cookies - Tasting Tin Trio

Growing up on the Mexican border, we have a heartfelt appreciation for so many of the culture's foods, customs, and traditions. One of our family's very favorites is the Traditional Mexican Wedding Cookie. Mouth-wateringly tender, bursting with flavor, and absolutely irresistible, these cookies are staples at every gathering and special occasion throughout Mexico and all along the Tex-Mex border.  When it came to Mexican Wedding Cookies, the gold standard near our home in the Rio Grande Valley was always Romero's Bakery. After they closed and we moved to central Texas we were never able to find a Mexican Wedding Cookie that sings with quite the same texture and flavor. After years of searching we'd almost resigned ourselves to forever being just a little bit disappointed in every other Mexican Wedding Cookie we tried.
