Aleppo bar soap is a natural, handcrafted soap that is also known as Ghar soap, Savon d'Alep or Alep Soap.  It's similar to Castile, or Marseille soap but with the addition of prized Laurel Berry oil to the Olive Oil. In this modern 'twisted' handmade version, we've a few more natural ingredients to amp up the dreaminess of this ancient handmade and natural soap.  To be considered 'true' Aleppo, Laurel Berry Oil should run between 5 - 70%.  Our twisted, indulgent recipe runs at a generous 15%.  Laurel Berry Oil is wildly expensive so beware of those selling 'Aleppo soap bars' inexpensively.   Our Twisted Aleppo handcrafted soap has been cured for a minimum of 9 months.  The long cure time allows the soap bar to harden and for quality and lather to improve.  As it cures, the exterior of the soap takes on a lovely golden hue while the interior retains a lovely green from the olive oil.
