23" Ebony Chess Board

This genuine ebony and maple chess board is a superb pairing with any set of fine wood chessmen in black and boxwood. The smooth, clear-protected board surface enables you to slide felted pieces for the best playing experience. The entire chessboard has a base covered in felt ensuring protection of any surface you on which you choose to display the board. Sizing for Chess Pieces: At 23", it's considered slightly larger than tournament size, providing an impressive platform for slightly larger chess pieces around 4" tall, more or less.  The recommended pieces size have a King Base diameter ranging from 1 3/4 to 2" with 1 7/8" being optimal.
