This is a handmade chessboard made from Maple and Peruvian walnut. Peruvian walnut contrasts the maple even more so than regular walnut to make a wonderful board. All of our boards come with several coats of polyurethane to help protect against warping and cracks. Generally, they are finished with a gloss finish, but a semi-gloss or matte finish can be applied upon request.
