19th C. French Zinc Architectural Decoration, Pair.

Antique zinc architectural fragments. Known as "faitage", these pieces would have been part of the ornamental trim topping the roof ridge of a 17th or 18th century French chateau. Extremely old and extremely fragile, there are not many examples left to be found. In our 22+ years of importing from Europe, this is only the second time we have had the pleasure to offer them.We have several other examples (both small and large) now for sale  as well as numerous terracotta, wood, and iron architectural salvage pieces on offer and many more coming in the next month as we have acqured 300+ pieces from a well-known European antique dealer. As-found condition with material loss and wear consistent with age and use.Free local pickup; otherwise shipped via economical parcel delivery.
