A member of the blackbird family, the WESTERN MEADOWLARK lives in grasslands, meadows, pastures, and along marsh edges and nests on the ground. They love to feed on seeds and insects. It is the state bird to six states: Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, and Wyoming.
