Sky Stone Native American Squash Blossom

The highly unique and intricate squash blossom design originated from the Navajo. They were the first known Southwestern tribe to work with the design. The naja - the middle piece of the necklace - was created as a talisman of protection. It's also believed to represent a womb, with a single turquoise stone suspended from the pendant which symbolizes a child growing within. This squash blossom necklace was handcrafted and sourced directly from a Native artisan and is adorned with Carico Lake turquoise stones.
