This Miraculous Medal is a tiny "document" on Mariology, the study of Mary, the Mother of God! Memorial for Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is November 27. "Each symbol on the Medal means something." (see the Jpeg below for the complete information). The Miraculous Medal is not magical, but wearing it and meditating on its symbolism can bring about greater faith, hope and purity. (this is true for any holy medal and Christian token) The symbols on the medal include the RAYS coming from the rings on her fingers, the PRAYER around the frame of the medal, the GLOBE that Mary is standing on, the STARS on the back, along with the TWO HEARTS and the M with the CROSS.
