Laguna Parón is a glacial lake located in the Huascaran National Park in the Ancash Region of Peru, South America. The lake is situated at an elevation of about 4,185 meters (13,730 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest lakes in the world. The stunning turquoise color of the lake is a result of the glacial meltwater that feeds into it.
