Solitude In Being Present

While driving in the higher elevations of the mountains, there's an urge to pull off the road and get out on foot to explore.  Observing the landscape with all of its wild vegetation, the tall grasses and wildflowers and forests of trees, as it seems to go on forever.  What could be just beyond the nearest group of trees?  Which wildflowers might be in full bloom among the shadows?  These are the mental images that inspire this painting.
