Tama Starphonic Copper 14x7-Inch Snare DrumFor the first time in the history of the Starphonic series, the PCP147 snare drum features a 1.2 mm copper shell with a 7-Inch depth, creating an extraordinary raw, dark tone with rich low frequencies in its overtone. Combining outstanding Starphonic features such as a Grooved Hoop and a Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon snare wire, the PCP147 provides improved sensitivity and controlled sound.The Starphonic claw hooks have a rubber block inside to prevent the tension bolts from loosening during playing. Once the tension bolt is tightened, the claw hook is pressed towards the hoop. This also presses the rubber block inside the claw hook and adds pressure to the tension rod inside.In order to provide a more crisp and sensitive sound, Tama redesigned its snappy snare, using new materials and customizing the shape of the plate and the wire coil's winding pattern.
