Bowl WH_Souji Tsurumi

Souji Tsurumi Born in Tokyo in 1967. Ceramist based in Tokoname city, Aichi Prefecture. His vessels are formed by hand, adhering to use natural clay without using the potter's wheel, evoking lushness expressed by the rich clay. His pieces have a rustic feel that matures with age. Initially the vessel has a texture of clay mixed with small pebbles, which becomes smooth through usage.His vessels brings out the best colour of the food that are placed on top. Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
