Stand with style. If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried to prop up your iPad using various things lying around your kitchen, home or office. Even when you do get it standing just so, it’s only a matter of time before it slides off your cobbled-together support with a big thud! Plus, your eye for style keeps nudging you to figure out a cleaner, more modern solution than your pillow/brick combo that barely works. I had the same problem, so I set out to create a stand that holds my iPad and Kindle at the perfect angle without sacrificing style. The Ray iPad Stand takes its inspiration from modern bent plywood’s roots: The Eames LCW molded plywood chair. The bent plywood construction creates a stronger material than solid wood, so I can achieve the modern, minimal aesthetic that pairs so nicely with modern electronics.
