Traverse Table Lamp
Modern Sophisticated Warmth. The Traverse bent plywood table lamp takes its inspiration from the gorgeous tart cherry trees found in around Traverse City, Michigan. The lamp has a classic shape with a modern bent ply twist that will make a statement beside the couch, on a sideboard, or in the office or bedroom. It features a gorgeous walnut outer layer that adds a bit of sophisticated warmth to any room. Each lamp is handmade in my Leonard, MI studio. Its modern, minimal aesthetic is courtesy of the hand-layered bent plywood construction which creates a stronger yet lighter material than solid wood. I start out with 17 layers of sustainably-harvested wood that I glue, layer, mold, trim, sand, and finish by hand, so each one is impeccably made and completely unique. The satin oil finish creates a rich, natural look that’s durable and is water- and stain-resistant.
