Though the same cross in nature has been called C. x mendocinensis, this is an intentional cross by Eugene plantswoman Phoebe.....though disappointed by its light flowers, we are quite happy with the swimming pool blue and think this easy to grow native cross should be in many gardens. To 6ft with slightly wavy rounded leaves, for sun to part shade. For lean soil and places where little garden water is given though it is surprisingly tolerant. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
