Little Fingers Learning Technology: Timers

Timers are an excellent way for little fingers to begin learning technology and applying it to "their world".  When my sub-2-year-old grandkids started learning timers, numbers and buttons, they would sit and watch the timers count down not knowing the sequence of numbers but soon recognized the pattern of 0 thru 9.  My first born granddaughter, even before she could talk, learned to turn off and on my TV, change channels to her station and change the volume.  I would come into the family room and she would be watching her favorite show.  But she was a little put off because the show would change every 30-60 minutes. For holiday meals I may have 6 different things cooking at the same time. Yes I know you wonder why I have separate timers instead of one or two with multiple timers.  Multiple timers are fine for an adult but little learning fingers will accidently reset, clear and stop timers on a multiple timer…accidently leaving you with pots boiling over, under cooked, over cooked, b
