Quintessence

A commissioned work for  the Natural Sciences Building in Western Oregon University ( https://state-of-oregon-art-collection.org/final/Portal.aspx?lang=en-US ) This drawing celebrates the Earth Sciences and works its way visually through the elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and then Ether- the fifth element. The widely used symbol for Ether/Quintessence is the hexagon which is the underlying pattern employed in this work.
