Shetland 1.0 Spirit Trail Tangled up in Blue
We kept back a select number of light grey skeins of Shetland 1.0 for overdyeing, eager to see how the introduction of color would play with the underlying fiber colors. I sent Jennifer Heverly of Spirit Trail Fiberworks a small number of skeins and asked her for "a rich blue." She began experimenting with different shades to see how the Shetland fiber would absorb and reflect back color. Tangled up in Blue is the result. She dyed these skeins in Virginia before returning them to Pepperell Mill Campus in Biddeford, Maine, where they were tagged and shipped to you.
