Mustang II Rear Hatch (1974-1978)

We finally have a lightweight solution to your rusty old rear hatch! This hatch is both an inner and an outer skin and can accept either your original glass or a flat lexan (or plexi equivalent) replacement. The inner and outer skins are shown, and will come bonded and ready to install with the mounting hinge hardware. All mounting points include a steel threaded insert for use with factory or replacement bolts.  Notes: OEM latch will need to be reused from stock hatch lid There are no bracket inserts for the chrome trim, this can be held down with an adhesive Factory gas struts are suitable for use with the fiberglass hatch. Though depending on the final weight (type of glass used, spoiler etc.) you may need a shock with a lower pressure rating Please contact for shipping quote before purchasing, truck freight is required due to the size of the hatch.
