Exceptionally rare vintage signature in blue ballpoint pen on a 3x5-inch card, attained from the typically unobliging star by fellow actor Peter Hansen, probably in the 1960s.  Anyone who has earnestly searched for his autograph in authentic form knows they turn up only once or twice a decade, and achieve prices in the three to four hundred dollar range at auction.  In good condition and excellent for matting with a favorite photograph.  Probably best remembered as all-American suburban dad Ward Cleaver on T.V.'s "Leave It to Beaver" (1957-1963), character actor Hugh Beaumont didn't actually like the role much at all, feeling that it had typecast him and all but obliterated recall of his many other roles in movies and on television.  A solemn, morose man, he abandoned a career as a Methodist preacher and theologian to enter films in 1941, chiefly appearing in B-action, noir, western, horror, sci-fi and action flicks like Northwest Rangers (1942), The Seventh Victim (1943), Du Barry Was
