Scarce and nifty vintage 10x8-inch black and white restrike film still from Babes in Toyland (1934), shown as the wicked Barnaby, his best-loved characterization, boldly signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint pen in the 1980s. In good condition. Best known for his portrayal of unsightly, stooped-over Silas Barnaby in the Laurel and Hardy classic Babes in Toyland (1934), character actor Henry Brandon played numerous other vile villains and assorted unsavory persons, sometimes of Indian, Arab, Persian, Turkish, Native American, East Asian, and other ethnicities. He was a regular in serials, despicable as Cobra in Jungle Jim (1937), the criminal mastermind Blackstone in Secret Agent X-9 (1937), Captain Lasca in Buck Rogers Conquers the Universe (1939), and the titular evil doctor in Drums of Fu Manchu (1940).
