Cat. #001327: SIR JACOB EPSTEIN

Rare and excellent vintage handwritten, boldly signed letter, dated 1954, on a roughly 5x7-inch sheet of cream-colored stationery: "Dear Mr. Jackbson - I have received the checque from Bolton + am sending you a checque for 20 as I am being charged 5 for altering the pictures of the head of G. Bernard Shaw. I thank you for carrying through the Bolton [indecipherable] so successfully. Yours sincerely, Jacob Epstein."  In fine condition, with two mailing folds and a mild bend at the bottom right corner. American-British Sir Jacob Epstein was one of the great masters and pioneers of modern sculpture.
