TOUGH to acquire vintage 8x10-inch black and white promotional portrait, pictured alongside Jane Wyman, for 1953's drama So Big (1953), boldly signed and inscribed in black fine-tip pen for a noted France-based collector in the 1970s. In good condition. This is one of the only signed photographs we have ever encountered of tough-as-nails Sterling Hayden, who is probably best remembered by contemporary audiences for his portrayal of the corrupt cop McCluskey, shot dead by Michael Corleone in his iconic coming-of-age moment, in The Godfather (1972).
