Extremely scarce signature in black fountain pen on a one-page 8.5 x 11-inch 1931 termination agreement with the American Play Company.  In very good condition, with two horizontal folds, gentle surface creases and a minor paperclip impression to the upper left-hand corner.  Hecht was one of Hollywood's and Broadway's greatest writers.  He snagged an Oscar for Underworld (1927) at the very first Academy Awards ceremony and a second for The Scoundrel in 1935.  He was nominated four more times, for Villa Villa! (1935), Wuthering Heights (1939), Angels Over Broadway (1940), and Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious (1946).  In 1939, Hecht was paid $10,000.00 by producer David O.
