Highly rare and 8x10-inch black and white portrait in the title role in 1936's stage play "Jane Eyre"-- during which she met and entered into a relationship with Howard Hughes-- boldly signed in black fountain pen at the time of the production. In good condition, overall, but priced to reflect a 1.5-inch crease to the upper area and some residue, visible when the photo is angled toward a light source, but not otherwise. "I'm a personality as well as an actress," Katharine Hepburn once decla red.
