Exceptionally rare vintage signature in black fountain pen on a 1.5 x 5.25-inch portion of a lined social club guestbook page, acquired in-person in the late 1920s.  Uneven trimming, with the Kinnell autograph readily trimmed away from the others.  The familiar-faced character actor typically played smooth-talking businessmen, statesmen and lawyers who were engaged in unspeakably wicked dealings behind closed doors.  Probably best known for his portrayals of Putty Nose in James Cagney's The Public Enemy (1931) and the circus barker in Tod Browning's Freaks (1932), his many other film credits included the Charlie Chan gem The Black Camel (1931), The Menace (1932), The Beast of the City (1932), The Man Who Played God (1932), Grand Hotel (1932), The Mouthpiece (1932), While Paris Sleeps (1932), Rasputin and the Empress (1932), Damaged Lives (1933), Volt
