In good condition for its age, with the writing a tad light, as was typical of her. Silent child actress Anne Shirley blossomed into a sweet and sentimental ingenue, unforgettable in classic films like Three on a Match (1932), Anne of Green Gables (1934), Stella Dallas (1937), The Devil and Daniel Webster (1941), and Murder, My Sweet (1944) before her early retirement at the age of 26.
