This is a Rear View Mirror Retaining Clip (sold individually) for Mercedes-Benz R129 SL-Class and A124 Cabriolet. These pieces are found inside the rear view mirror housing, and secure the mirror glass piece to the outer plastic trim (see photo). The clip slides into tabs that are located on the outer mirror frame, securing the glass mirror in place. Many customers find that when they are replacing their Rear View Mirror Housing, these clips are missing and no longer secure their mirror.
